Futurodex is the journal of Station Concepts, an index of the ways things change, from the personal to the planetary. It gathers notes, scenarios, and close readings across the signals reshaping how people, materials, and ideas move through the world.

Much of what is said about these changes follows an official story, in which the future is good and will only get better. This does not correspond to the experiences of the majority of the world's inhabitants. If it is so good, then why is it so bad?

Part of the answer lies in how the future is discussed. Talk about plural futures tends to come in hard lines, setting progress against collapse and promise against threat. Optimism and pessimism both try to respond to a question before the shape of change is clear. But the present is several times at once, moving at different speeds. Futurodex holds these certainties lightly.

Entries range from short observations to longer essays, with the occasional scenario set a decade or more out, and each one looks closely at something that tends to be overlooked. New pieces arrive every week.
